Hotel is showing its age. While I was there last, a storm came through and hotel lost power for about 3 hours. Gates were still not working the next afternoon but that was minor.

Rooms: Very outdated rooms. Only serviced twice a week so be prepared to make your own bed. No fresh towels. Overpriced breakfast.

This hotel experience was the worst I've encountered. The staff were rude and unaccommodating, making my stay incredibly unpleasant. I urge the management to retrain their front desk staff. No one should endure such stress, especially when visiting a city for the first time with high expectations. During my stay from March 20th to March 24th at the Sonesta North for a work conference, I arrived at 7 pm due to a flight delay, only to face a 20-minute wait for a front desk agent. Lameka informed me my room wasn't ready, citing cleaning delays and a current guest still occupying it. Despite having paid a deposit, they offered an "upgraded" suite with one king bed instead of two doubles, further complicating matters. When I attempted to check in with my corporate card, they claimed not to have my credit card details despite charging a deposit. Subsequent miscommunication and a lack of clarity regarding room availability and payment methods persisted. Lameka's casual announcement of our room number led to a concerning encounter with a stranger outside our room. The room was dirty, with black mold stains in the shower, and attempts to rectify billing issues proved fruitless. Despite efforts to address the situation, including completing authorization forms and follow-up calls, the hotel charged the incorrect card upon checkout. The stress caused by this situation was immense, overshadowing any enjoyment of my time in Atlanta. It's disappointing that my first experience in the city was marred by such a negative hotel experience.
