    Dont ignore the reviews. A neighbor told me the reviews were bad, and after reading them, I agree. Purchased first new construction home and experience was poor. I will never close on another home without the punch list being completed. It will never get completed. After 2yrs, had a major part in the AC go out, nail found in water pipe that led to water damage, and more. You will never be able to talk to the builder and the project managers turnover is high.

    One year since closing and still no resolution. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THIS BUILDER (BUILDER GAPS STILL OPEN IN PICTURE- SUNLIGHT COMES RIGHT IN THESE GAPS). I received one very unprofessional response and they have not attempted once to reach out and correct the problems as agreed. Heatherland Homes charging for a premium lot that sits on a golf course producing work like this and not correcting it is more than disappointing. I have purchased new constructions before and this is by far the worst experience. THE BUILDER HAS CLOSED OUT MULTIPLE WARRANTY REQUESTS (WITHOUT SENDING ANYONE) WHICH ARE CLEARLY COVERED. The front door is not fully functional & the builder seems to think this is something that should be deferred by warranty department. Expect the exact opposite of the description Heatherland Homes has on their website.This review is to provide transparency to consumers of what to really expect when you purchase from Heatherland (based on my experience) as a customer in a GOLF COMMUNITY.There's a common theme in the complaints and the management of complaints from Heatherland Homes... just read the reviews on here and BBB for yourself. Save yourself from dealing with a highly unprofessional builder that refuses to stand by their workmanship. I am in the middle of this currently & the other negative reviews are on brand for Heatherland Homes based on my experience. The builder refuses to address items on a signed document that should have been completed within 30 days per their own terms. This builder caused a mud breech into my yard which caused mold and still no correction months later.I waited over 90 days to post this to give them a fair opportunity to fix the issues in the yard and all I received was multiple excuses.The latest excuse was sod availability as if there are not sod deliveries that we see regularly. I had a landscaper come out to to look at the yard and they advised it is not leveled correctly and the grass is cheap. Update: I received a very unprofessional response from Heatherland Homes via Better Business Bureau because I mentioned that I would engage my attorney if dates were not provided. BBB closed the case after Heatherland refused to respond with a solution. This explains the F. Excuse after excuse. The unprofessional Better Business Bureau response shows why they are ok with rude behavior from the superintendent. They were more concerned with using "supposedly" to antagonize when they are clearly in the wrong instead of offering a solution to a problem they created. After the rude response via BBB still no resolution. Radio silence when I complained to the number on theit website for about a week until I filed the BBB complaints... this gives the appearance that Heatherland and realtors that sell for them are okay with poor workmanship & it's standard business practice. I reached out to Heatherland Homes twice and spoke to someone at the number listed on their website. I also sent them correspondences with the combative and unprofessional superintendent that occurred over email. My experience: This builder set a walk-through on or around two weeks prior to closing... the quality of work was so terrible that the walk-through took hours. The final walk-through was scheduled a few hours before closing which the work was still not complete and all tags were just removed as if it was completed. The superintendent is rude & unprofessional & acts as if it's the consumer's fault & refuses to stand behind the workmanship in the interior and exterior. They have refused to come out to address standing water although I have asked multiple times in person, via email and over the phone. Choose another builder unless you want to deal with ongoing issues while you are in the process of moving. Other Things: Low quality doors in the bedrooms and bathrooms with wood exposed. Builder tried to hide a tear in wood cabinets. Builder tried to hide paint splash on granite.

    Where do I start!! Closed on 10/18/2023 after waiting almost 2 years on the completion of the property. There are cracks everywhere in the property. In addition, the driveway is cracked and I was told it will not be fixed as it is comestics. Wood stairs were stained to match the floor and the wood have sucked of the stain and now it looks awful. The floors creaks under the carpet. Water damage marks on the ceiling that means it must be leaking somewhere. In my bedroom they put the light switch so close to the corner of the wall they had to cut the light switch plate for it to fit. They cut the plate with a dull knife due to jagged and uneven edges. My first home is looking more like a nightmare than a dream. Not to mention in order for the garage door to close you have to keep your fingers on the button. In case of children or pets, make sure you have the funds to repaint. Overall, the execution was poor. HH's poor workmanship and lack of accountability are the reasons I would not recommend them. Edit: 1/8 Heathland home came by and addressed all by issues. They will correct all my concerns. Garage door was fixed something with the sensors not lining up. Thanks to Tim and Christian for stopping by today.

    I wish that I could give it a lower rating than one star. Very poor home construction quality and there are all kinds of issues from day 1, like painting, flooring, roof, gaps in doors and windows, water leaks, etc. You will need to call the builder and the warranty company dozens of times to get any kind of attention from them. No concept of customer care or any professionalism on how they operate. Most of the issues are still not fixed even after one year of living there - so the one-year warranty that they provide is pretty useless. They make you beg for the simplest of repairs, even though they are supposed to be covered by warranty. have been left with no choice but to hire my own technicians and get them repaired myself at my own cost. I will never buy again with this company and warn you to beware. ABSOLUTE WORST QUALITY AND EXPERIENCE!
