Do not take your child here. They are the worst! I have an infant with an ng tube and feeding issues and Dr. Shakir takes a week or longer to respond or put in orders for necessary feeding tubes, etc. I have left messages repeatedly asking questions in regards to my child's care and get no answers or half the answer. They are unprofessional and your child will not get the care they deserve.

Shakir doesnt have bedside manner and the nurses are horrible; they are condescending and unhelpful. They dont return calls or would they follow up with you. Furthermore they would not even tell you that they have called in the pharmacy yet failed to inform you of what prescriptions they called in for. Never will we take our child back there. Horrible specialist and nurses.. please do yourself a favor. Stay away from Shakir and her staff.

Please read all the negative reviews because they are true! We were in a hurry to make an appointment for our 21 month old toddler because shes been having upset stomach, so we didnt carefully read all negative reviews before going in and see Dr Shakir. Well, this is indeed the worst pediatric GI dr office. Dr Shakir prescribed medication but did NOT include dosage or instructions on how to take the medicine, so our insurance company wont pay for it as a result. Its been over a week, our pharmacy has been trying to call Dr Shakirs office, and I have left numerous messages too. This Dr office never responded and corrected their own mistakes. I would not recommend this dr office to anyone

I DONT RECOMMEND this doctors office at all!!! I wish I can give them no stars but I cant. WORST DOCTORS OFFICE!!! I will never take my kid back to them again!!! They dont care for their patients, they never call back when you leave messages and they never faxed my kids test results to his pediatrician. The staff is rude and they dont know what they are doing. Dr Shakir doesnt care for her patients health at least thats how she made me feel when I took my child to her.
