One of the most caring Doctors I have ever met. She listens and is responsive to your concerns. I see her for my thyroid issues and she has helped me with that and so much more. I highly recommend Dr. Gilligan.

Dr. Gilligan is one of the most caring physicians that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She has been very kind, but also, she has LISTENED to me when I discuss my healthcare issues with her. Dr. Gilligan is very thorough and genuinely cares about her patients and her attentiveness to paying attention to what her patients are feeling and trying to address those feelings is something that I have not had in quite some time. Piedmont has a gem in Dr. Gilligan and I am proud to say that she is my Doctor and advocate for my health.

Everything was fine with Dr. Gilligan and myself until I asked an outside doctor question, because I said to her several times, I was exhausted. I was so exhausted it was affecting my career. When I went to my primary care nurse practitioner for the blood work, that's when all the horror began. I went to Dr. Gilligan hoping, I could get some answers. She immediately sided with the NP saying," I upset her because I knew some of the test was going to be low." Not one time has my primary care doctor called any other doctor to discuss my health. She didn't talk to me about what was going on she tried her very best degrade me for talking to an outside doctor. Who showed more concern and had more questions. She constantly said little racist comments like, " you can't eat fried chicken." or " your blood pressure is high because of your DNA." (The list goes on). Before trying to find out stuff about my body things was okay but now, I wouldn't refer Dr. Gilligan anyone. We should know as much as possible about what's going on with our bodies and not be their walking pharmacy clinic.
