Very uncomfortable experience. Miscommunication was horrible.dont open your mouth they gone charge you 500$ just to do that!

I was needing a regular cleaning, so I looked on Google for new patient specials dentist. Sage dental came up, so I called their office. I was told there was a new patient special for $10 that included, x-rays, and exam, and a cleaning. I thought that was great, so I scheduled the appointment. When I Arrived at my appointment, I was told that there was an in office program that I could sign up for that day for $168, or I can pay out-of-pocket $610 for the x-rays, exam, and cleaning. I explained to them that the only reason I came to this office was for their new patient special that I was told over the phone. They told me that there was no notes in my file, but they guessed they could offer me this favor just this one time. I explained to them that his was the information that was told to me by Sage dental. They agreed to do the $10, so I went to their chair. When I got in the dentist chair, they told me that they do not do same-day cleaning appointments, and I would have to schedule another day to takeoff work to get my teeth cleaned. I explain to them that I was confused because that was my appointment scheduling todays appointment. They said that they would first do the x-rays and exam to determine the type of cleaning that I need. I told him that was fine. They told me that my teeth look great and I did not need a deep cleaning, but they told me that I need an intermediate cleaning. I had never heard of this before. I asked what the fee was for this, and they said, if I sign up for their in office plan, it would be $648, or I could pay out of pocket for $1278. This sounded like a complete scam, so I left.
