Nice guy but hung up on me toward the end of a free consultation. We didn't agree on some minor things but at the end of the day hanging up on someone is not a proper way of ending a conversation. I called to resolve the issue but I just settled to wish him the best in the future over voicemail. Business owners please don't hang up on any potential clients you never know how this can effect your business.

With this review, I hope to prevent other families from harm. Bruce Steinfeld was retained by the mother of my children to assist in our custody dispute. In my opinion, Bruce exploited my exs fear of losing time with the children, exacerbating the litigation unbeknownst to her, and causing harm not only to her but also to the children. The conduct during the litigation by Mr. Steinfeld was beyond that of an overzealous attorney; it was an abuse of litigation, which I believe to be driven by his personal greed. He filed meritless motions and held frivolous depositions, likely only to increase his bill. He charged my ex over $400,000 over a two-year period. He was well aware that these funds were the total inheritance from the recent passing of her mother. She had no employment or means to replace it. So, when he asks you for your financial disclosure statement, be cautious; he may see you as his next honeypot. Last week, the court granted me joint legal custody and dismissed her main argument, which I believe he knew would never be granted all along. Theres a reason why most of the reviews posted here are from his colleagues, not paying clients. It's my sincere hope that my review can spare your family from a similar ordeal.

Divorce is painful, scary and just plain awful place to be for most people. Its hard to find agreement. Its even harder to pick which battles are truly worth fighting. So many couples squander huge amounts of financial and emotional resources fighting over who gets to keep the toaster. Plenty of law firms will be happy to fan the flames and bill by the hour until the accounts are drained. Its easy to make mistakes without a trusted advisor. Why was Bruce Steinfeld that advisor for me? He helped me understand that I had a problem to be solved, not necessarily a battle to be won. One of the most insightful questions he asked was what kind of person do you want to be at your daughters wedding? This lens helped me see how every question that followed needed to be viewed. His advice to seek agreement, use the ruler of justice and take the high road helped me maintain healthy relationships with my children, stay in the community that is home to me and move on to better thingson every front. While I had plenty of opportunities to lose my mind, Bruce continually steered me toward the high road, framed positive choices and helped me stay focused on the big picture. For this I will always be grateful. In the end, there was truly no need for pit bulls or airborne rangers. Being a competent professional is one thing. Being a pro with a moral compass puts Bruce in a separate league. When friends and family need family law help there is only one referral on my contact list.
