The front door seal is broken, which they were aware of upon signing the lease. Now bugs come in from the roach infested hallways. I hate it here. Absolutely feel like I am being punished for expecting a business to do as they promised their tenants. I called multiple times, they just dont care. I moved into my unit with zero electricityand it was turned on. They had faulty wiring. So they rented a unit that couldve caused an electrical fire!
Update: 10/1/2023
Repairs are now addressedtoo bad my lease is almost done. Lol, at this rate and all these reviewsnone of the units are move in ready. I thought my entire kitchen flooding when it rains was just unique to me.turns out there are a lot of structural issues. Also, the new payment system to pay rent.omg!!! This is a lesson to finally get serious and purchase a home. Im sure the new management company will get it right, but Im truly exhausted and I think I made a mistake coming here.
Update: 10/1/2023- Part 2
Idk what to do. Ive contacted them via social media and I got left on read.I think we are being punked. I just want the nightmare to be over.please. Idk what to do besides warn future tenants. You will not be happy

During the first month I was here, steelworks was changing their parking management system, and during the process I was booted twice, costing me 75 dollars each time, several hours, and making me miss work. Some of the shelves in my closet were partially torn out of the wall on move-in and while not critical in themselves, it seems something that should have been rectified as part of the previous tenant's move-out.
Fast forward to December/January and one of the stairwells was shut down for 2+ months because some of the supports had completely rotted out and collapsed.
Our living room leaked during heavy rains multiple times because the doorjamb had cracks in it. There was water damage to one of our walls on move in that was never addressed because it "didn't pose an issue". Outside of this, the second floor hallway was flooded by roughly an inch of water on multiple occasions during heavy rain.
One of the garage gates closed while my mother was driving through, denting and scuffing her roof, and they never responded to nor acknowledged our email about it. Seemingly most of the office staff have turned over since we arrived, and the new staff seem to be stuck playing catch up.
When they offered to renew our lease, they were asking for 2915/month. After we declined, they listed our room for 2675/month. They offer a cleaning service for a fixed rate to assist with moveout and I'm honestly skeptical about how they'll assess moveout charges considering some of the other reviews that have been posted recently, as well as the items left broken on our own move-in.
The veneers on the kitchen cabinets are all peeling off, and that really sums up the broader experience of my lease at Steelworks. On the surface, at a glance, it looks nice and pleasant, but living there is just riddled with so many quality issues that it's a wonder they got away with charging as much as they did.
Just so that my review isn't entirely negative, I will say that the B3 floorplan is fairly well laid out, with a huge kitchen island that works well for cooking/hosting. Also, Jandra was an absolute pleasure to work with, but she is no longer there.
