Gotcha Covered of Central Tampa

I would like to start off this review by stating it took me over a month to decide whether I wanted to post or not, due to this being a small business, however, at this point I really feel others need to know how this company conducts business. In August 2023 I received a mailer from Gotcha Covered that caught my eye, the flyer was for shades/drapes, blinds etc. I decided to call and give them a try. Chris (who I would come to find out later is the owner/sales consultant, and basically the 'company' if you will) gave me the consultation. He showed me a video and pictures of his work, and I decided to give his company a chance. I ordered a roller shade for my sliding doors, and a standard window blind. After this is when all the issues began, for starters, Chris was horrible with follow up and keeping me posted on the status of my order. He initially told me it would be 2 weeks, and it was really about 5-6 weeks. Within that time he didn't send me one follow up email. I was the one constantly emailing him for updates. Day of installation he tells me he will be in my home around 11:00 am, he doesn't show up until 6:00 pm. One day later after the installation of the roller shade, there were creases on the shade. When the shade would go up, you could tell it was creasing because it wasn't aligned correctly. I text Chris, and he took a couple of days to get back to me, tells me he spoke with the manufacturer and would give me some options. He tells me days later, he will do good by his work and replace the shade at no cost. I paid Chris the balance due, on good faith that he would do as he promised. BIG MISTAKE. Chris took two weeks to come to my home after this, so my husband and I could choose a replacement, we chose the replacement, he told us the shade "was a piece of junk," and he would do right. WELL this was in the beginning of November, we are now almost in January of the new year, and I'm still staring at this "piece of junk" shade. Last I heard from him was November 26, giving me yet another excuse, and this time blaming the holidays for the delay. Yet I placed the replacement order with him 1st week of Nov. I replied to the email, and asked for this to be corrected, before the end of the year. He ghosted me, haven't heard from him since. Lost over 1k and now will have to get a new company to correct his work. I have a hard time believing all the reviews here are real, and I definitely don't believe the pictures on his website, or flyer are his work. This is the worst company I've dealt with since I purchased my home in this area. BEWARE!

Dreams can come true! I had a vision and Chris made it happen. Chris is the most patient person and listened to each of my concerns. Gotcha covered can work with any small or big project and any small or big space. I will definitely use them again. Plus installer Randy is a perfectionist. My outcome is simply out of this world stunning and Randy gives attention to every detail! This company is 5 stars across the board and they even worked around my dog sleeping in the room. I would recommend them highly.

Chris was extremely helpful in helping me through the process as I had never bought shades before. I never felt pressured to buy and he worked with me every step of the process. When the manufacturer had an issue, he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and we got what we wanted. I highly recommend his service!

I loved the whole experience of picking out my power shades. Chris did a wonderful job of bringing all of the options, to my home. He was patient and helpful during the selection. We will definitely use Gotcha Covered again, soon!

Worked with Chris on my motorized blinds project throughout my home. After a few months of planning and placing orders, everything is finally together and I am very pleased with the final products. Good quality and looks very good in my home. I have gotten many compliments about the work that was completed. Great job!
