My entire family has been seeing Dr. Helsing & co since he was at the previous address. Weve always had a pleasant and friendly experience. Appointments are quick and his staff goes the extra mile to find you the best deals on eyewear. Dr. Helsings sense of humor and calm demeanor puts the kids at ease - they love that the new location is in Midtown, just steps from ice cream and boba. Highly recommend!

I had been going to Dr Matt Helsing because my wife recommended him, she said her family had been going to the practice for years and his family were the best in the business. I went for an eye exam just over a year ago and the experience was pleasant. As of today I will no longer be visiting the eye doctor at this location because I was running late and I had called to let them know I was running late due to heavy traffic in south Tampa. I walked into the office two minutes passed the grace period. The office location in midtown is not easy to navigate so it take more time because there is no parking near the office. The treatment I received when I walked in was intolerable. The eye technician grabbed my record and looked at the time and said your two minutes passed the grace period. She asked the office manager Celeste if they could still see me and she told the technician to ask the doctor if they could still see me and continued to speak with another customer never looking at me nor my wife to validate our existence. The technician came back and said the doctor was in with another patient and never asked the doctor to make a decision. She than says to me and my wife you have to make another appointment. Celeste than says You are going to have to wait until i can make me another appointment. My wife and I proceeded to leave not to cause a public scene because of the Ill treatment we received. The continuity of care should outweigh business and money side. PATIENTS at this location are no longer the priority. What happens now? I look for a new eye doctor and before my appointment something happens that could have been prevented over 2 minutes?? We live in age where people think they can treat you any way they please, well i am here to tell you the buck stops here my friend. Your freedoms end where mine begin.

I know Dr. Helsing since two years and just had my third annual visit. Im currently coming only for regular check ups and each time its been a pleasure. Dr. and his team are very diligent and personable. The equipment is fantastic. I purchased computer glasses and they spent a lot of time with me to help me select the frames I ideally liked. The office does not have a parking in front but there is a garage parking behind the building.
