Great hotel in close proximity to Amelia Arena - got to see The Cure and then about 15 minute walk back to hotel! Only thing I missed was a pool, but it was a great hotel and breakfast was included too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Lashawn at the front desk for answering our questions and telling us about the free trolley

Great location near the Riverwalk. Lots of options for dining. Starbucks right downstairs off the lobby. Great breakfast. The bed was the most comfortable Ive had at a hotel in a long time. The corner room was fantastic. However, if you need total darkness to sleep, the corner rooms probably arent the best for you. Because of its location, there is city noise if you stay toward the front of the hotel. Slight charge for parking, but it is covered and secure. Check out the Columbia Cafe on the Riverwalk which is a short walk away.
Rooms: Newer hotel. We had a good sized room with lots of windows. Amazingly comfortable bed. Good WiFi for Hilton Honors guests.
Nearby activities: Cruise terminal, museums, Riverwalk, restaurants, outdoor venues, water taxi, water tours.
Safety: Seems Very safe. Walked around at night and had no issues or saw no homeless.
Walkability: Great walkability. Lots of dining options on the Riverwalk. CVS across the street.

The experience we had here was great! Hospitality was awesome. The only thing is you have to pay $25 per day for parking. But anywhere you go in that area requires you to pay for parking so you can't escape that. But overall the Hampton Inn was one of the best hotels I ever stayed in and made our business trip to Tampa more pleasant. We will be back for vacation again.
Rooms: The rooms was very clean and the view was amazing!
Nearby activities: They had a gym right across the street and you are located right downtown from alot of different places and restaurants.
Safety: You are definitely safe in this area.
Walkability: Everything is walking distance.
Food & drinks: Restaurants are all around either walking distance or less than 3 miles.

We stayed here 6/25/23 the night before our cruise on RC. It was so close to the port we could've walked, but we grabbed a taxi for the few blocks away. There's a CVS right next door (which we needed as I had bad infection over 2 weeks and my doctor was calling in scripts for me an hour before we left for terminal.) The bed is Literally the best bed I've ever slept in and i have a 5500$ sleep number lol. We even took pics of pillow tags to try and buy them. Even pillows are great. We didn't arrive until almost midnight as delayed on delta fights from NYC (LGA). We caught a taxi outside Tampa Airport, and for $35, we were driven right over. Very safe.. no issues. We called the hotel on arrival in FL to let them know we would be arriving later than expected, and he confirmed he would wait for our arrival. It was about 25 min from the airport. And 5 min from Port. The next morning is a little chaotic with shuttle. It's first come first serve basically. Honestly, there was a empty taxi outside and for $8 it took us to port terminal 2 instead of waiting who knows how much longer for the shuttle over. For $8 it was worth a quick taxi ride. This is truly a fantastic hotel for those who need a safe/ clean/ close hotel the night before a cruise. Will Def be using again for the next time we leave out of Tampa. Thank you for making our trip that much easier!! He even GAVE us water/soda as we were so thirsty after arriving and hot for FREE. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome to FL!! I will ALSO say the baggage handlers at PORT (NOT THE HOTEL,) actually asked my fiance for a tip. It was the rudest thing ever.. this has nothing to do with hotel though. Just for your own knowledge on arrival.. security was fast as well getting on board and we did The Key. So early entry. Early departure.. private lunch day of arrival and breakfast day leaving. Best thing the Key. Also, do the explore the ship excursion and see the beyond the scenes.. very cool. Have a great trip!

Walkability: Can walk in about 10 min or 15 to port for cruises but we took taxi
Noteworthy details: Cvs right next door across street to right our the back doors. Convenient for all the last min things or meds needed
