Donald Slevin MD PA

Dr Slevin has treated me and my family for over 15 years. His close personal attention has produced great results as we've all aged. Dr Slevin has also treated another of our doctors, too... evidence of his respect within his peers. Recently we were smart enough to have a copy of an MRI sent to Dr Slevin as well as to the doctor who ordered it. Luckily, Dr Slevin was savvy enough to recognize that the radiologist had misread the MRI. He contacted the lab for a review. The subsequent report confirmed his suspicions and led to successful treatment.

I had a good experience with Dr. Slevin himself, who was nice and personable, however we had a terrible experience with his office staff. Long story short, after much back-and-forth debate involving whether or not a therapeutic boot is covered by insurance (which it is), the receptionist rudely insisted that we pay for the boot in full upfront before even bothering to look at coverage options. Since we knew such a boot would be covered, we refused to pay full price. The receptionist then proceeded to ask for the boot back which was already on my leg (necessary to facilitate walking with my injury.) We went to Davidson Drugs which had similar boots that were covered by our insurance, and bought one with no problems. A week later we get a certified letter from Dr. Slevin's office stating that he will be terminating our treatment. No reasons for the termination were given. On top of all that, Dr. Slevin's name is misspelled on his own stationery, which says a lot about his rude and incompetent office staff. We are frustrated and confused by this whole experience and wish the staff would have handled this in a more polite and humane manner.
