Sonder Wellborn

Always a good stay at The Wellborn. I guess Im a frequent flyer by now. If you can put up with a little music from out back, youll love it too!

The Wellborn was perfect for our weekend getaway. Our space was clean, comfortable and easy to get to. There was lots to do around the area. I would stay there again! Rooms: Clean Nearby activities: Close to downtown Orlando Safety: The location was safe to walk around and at night Walkability: Walkable around a lake a few feet away and downtown Orlando

This is kind of 2 reviews: One review for Sonder in general (Sonder properties need their own review because it's a different experience) and one review for this specific property (Sonder Wellborn). . I'll start with the Sonder Wellborn -- Quaint little charming spot, with a really pretty garden/bar attached. However, as you have read in several other reviews, the bar will have relatively loud music going until either midnight or 1am (except sundays). So, if your intent is to relax and get a good sleep, this place is not for you. The room was adequate (we were in room 304). The furniture is cheap and sofa uncomfortable, but we made it work. My partner uses a wheelchair and the floor in the place was so sloped that he would roll across the room if he didn't put the brakes on lol. The location is really nice and you can walk downtown. Parking sucks when the bar is busy because nobody is there to enforce hotel parking.. OK so that's basically the review of the sonder wellborn. Sonder needs its own review because if you haven't stayed in one before, it's different than a regular hotel. The experience is totally contactless and there is no staff on site to help with anything. You access the room with a 6 digit code. If you want some ice, you are on your own. No lobby with coffee, no water station. No front desk to get a soda or toothpaste if you forgot it. If you need something, you communicate with sonder via their app. If you are not really tech savvy, you. might want to skip the Sonder. The TVs are chromecast only -- so if you don't have TV apps on your phone or other device to cast to the TV, then you'll be struggling to watch anything. If you have a maintenance issue after say 7pm, nobody is on site to help you until the next day. So it's a bit different. Good luck!

A literal night club in the courtyard. This is my 2nd night here and I will never stay here again. My husband and I thought we were booking a cute little oasis to stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but no. The courtyard has music blaring, lights that light up your room all night through the window. We hung a blanket through the blinds in hope to block out some light but it is so bright. They provide a sleep machine and ear plugs? They drown a little bit out but even with that and a pillow over my head I am getting 0 sleep. Awful. I just want to cry. We came here to get a break from kids and just enjoy sleeping and each other and instead our weekend feels ruined with no sleep and frustration.. we should have just left early.

Another great stay at Sonder Downtown Orlando. So Peaceful but close to the jungle of downtown. Spaces are expansive and the courtyard is gorgeous. I really don't want to inform about how great they are it will mess up my private oasis. LOL
