The mother of my son (Janeth) put down a deposit on a roofing project with A-1 on Dec 6, 2023(image attached). Today is March 23, 2024. There has been no progress on the project. In fact, when we started to press them on the status of the project again, they claimed to be waiting for a permit. Unfortunately(for them), the status of permits is public record. A-1 did not even apply for the roofing permit until March 8th, which is 15 days ago (see attached image).... Apparently, the roofing permit was not even filed for until after we had contacted them several times. It's not enjoyable to have to chase down a company to make progress on something that you have already paid money for. They were all over us when they wanted us to sign the contract and make the despoit. Literally, daily calls. Now, we can't get them to set a date to start work. Our son has had a leak in his bedroom for 107 days since the deposit has been placed with A-1. We needed that money, but we sacrificed it and invested it with the understanding that critical work would be started and completed. We are pretty confused with the current lack of progress, the mishandling of the process, and the overall lack of communication. This has been incredibly disappointing...and in complete contrast to the reviews we had read before going with A-1. There has been a bunch of rain this weekend and more rain expected next week. We called them AGAIN to follow up this past week. They have said that they will be out Monday with a tarp. So after waiting 109 days and placing a deposit, we will receive a tarp on our roof.
