We called for an estimate and the lady who answered the phone said the company was backed up with jobs and that she would have an "estimator" call in a couple of weeks to set up an appointment. The following day, we got a call from a person named Josh who sounded hurried, said he is in our area every day, and would stop by in a few minutes. However, I was under medical care and not home at the time and asked Josh if we could try again, but to please give us some advanced notice before heading over since my wife and I keep busy schedules. It has been more than a week and we have not yet heard back from the esimtator, Josh. A Sunbiz search shows Emerald Roofing runs its "corporate" office from a two bedroom home in Brownsville, owned by Josue and Vicky Perez, according to county property appraiser. Josue is listed on state records as the company's president. Emerald Roofing completed work at my sister-in-law's home a few blocks away, so we wanted to get an estimate. But we will now look elsewhere. Clear and honest communication is a basic function of a company that provides service. And a company that is unable to deal in this manner is one you should avoid.

Over the past couple of years, we had minor roof leaks which led to multiple patch jobs. After another strong Miami storm, we decided it was time to have the roof redone.
