Truist Mortgage company is the literal worst! I can honestly say I've never experienced such a high level of customer disservice, a glorious model of using red tape and apathy to be as unhelpful as possible. After a devestating flood to my home, dealing with Truist regarding insurance procedures was a complete nightmare. For over 2.5 months they kept me in an endless cycle of escalations, requests and inspections; never completing the process. I called almost daily (37 calls on record) I even resorted to actual begging for help and movement on this claim to no avail, lots of apologies and Zero action. My only recourse after months was to work directly with the insurance company to get checks reissued without Truist's name on it (not an easy task) Ultimately I sold the property and will actively advise anyone to steer well clear of this horrible company - Truist doesn't care at all about your time, business, or life situations - just the money they make from you.
