continued from previous review - We received a screenshot of a message from Mirna that she received from a rep with the HOA. The message was asking for photo IDs, vehicle registration information and credit report. The IDs were provided when the application was first submitted along with the credit report. The request for repeated information started to make me realize someone was very unorganized or games were being played. When Mirna was sent, the information she mentioned she already had the IDs and would send the rest of the information to the HOA. The utilities were switched out of Mirnas name into my husband. The mail forwarding process had also been initiated and our mail was due to begin being forwarded because Mirna a shore us several times everything is okay and we were approved. Monday Mirna texted me and stated she would have a response Wednesday because the homeowner has a meeting with the HOA but she would know a definite answer Tuesday. A lot of this didnt make sense which further let me know some truth wasnt being told and games were being played. I received a text message from Mirna Tuesday afternoon stating the homeowner didnt want to move forward with allowing us to move into the home. Mirna advised us on several occasions that it was the HOA that needed to make the final decision, the homeowner already approved us. Mirna stated the homeowner is elderly and shes doing everything for them. The homeowner is related to Mirna and shes trying to make it seem as though she doesnt have much interest. She said she still wants to help my family find somewhere to live. How can anyone trust anything she says or does, after allowing someone access to a home, continually saying everything is approved and even went as far to say we can move somethings in. This is days before a lease is supposed to go into effect. We couldve spent September looking for somewhere else instead of being taken advantage of by Mirna and her family. Please save yourself the time, emotional distress, discrimination and anxiety of facing homelessness with my 2 minor grandchildren. Deal with someone more professional. We now must wait for her to send back our deposit after having it along with a signed lease since September 26, 2023. Oct 13th, 2023

On What started out to seem like a great interaction with renting a townhome from Mirna, turned into a complete nightmare. Mirna listed one of her relatives (either her mom or mother-in-law) townhome for rent. My mom contacted her, viewed the home and was told it was available for immediate move in at the viewing. My mother's husband completed the application, paid the necessary fees and when questioned about when the move date would be, Mirna was advised asap as we were residing in a Airbnb which was going to no longer be available. A few days went by and contact was made by Mirna to advise the application was approved and to Zelle her the security deposit. September 26, 2023 the lease was signed by the lease holder and the home owners. Mirna advised the lease would start 11/1/23 and be for 1 calendar year because she needed to contact the HOA but she would speak with them to see if the family could move in before 11/1/23. A few days went by and Mirna texted once again stating the HOA mentioned no the family couldn't move in prior to them approving the background checks. The documents needed to be submitted to the HOA of the community 30 days prior to the move-in date. At this point it was obvious that either Mirna wasn't aware of the rules of the HOA she also owns a home or she simply was trying to string my family along. Since we were notified of the approval Mirna was contacted and asked if the home could be shown to the 2 grandchildren and she stated yes. She gave us the gate code, along with the code for the home and even offered to give us the key's to the amenities of the HOA. We declined the keys and advised it was no rush. On October 14th, we received a text message from Mirna stating she needs the background checks for the 2 adult occupants. It was stressed to Mirna in the beginning of the interaction that my husband would be the lease holder, myself, my daughter and 2 minor grandchildren would only be occupants in the home. She agreed that this would be okay. In fact, the lease was sent with only my husband being the lease holder and he was the only one who needed to sign. In the state of Florida, an occupant does not have ownership interest, financial interest, or leasehold interest in the property entitling him or her to occupancy of the property. On Oct 18th, we received a text message from Mirna which stated - Hello, I hope everything is going well, you can start moving things to the house, I don't think that should be a problem. I have to remove the garbage from the garage. We scheduled to have the carpets cleaned and notified Mirna the carpet technician would come Friday, October 20th. She responded with that's okay. She gave us access to the home once again along with the technician to clean the carpets. We begin to move things into the home as we were given permission. The evening of October 20th we went to the home to check and make sure the carpets were drying and contacted Mirna because we noticed the A.C. was turned off. When contact was made, she asked if we had the electric switched to the leaseholders name, she was advised it would be completed Monday and her response was okay. She was advised the technician turned the unit on so that the carpets could dry and she stated she would take the key back to the house to unlock the AC unit on Saturday morning (which was the next day). We advised Mirna that we would be going to the home Saturday morning to clean and bring more items of ours since she stated we could begin moving a few things in. Late Friday evening after we left the home, we received a text message from Mirna stating the HOA is asking for another deposit and there were some questions regarding items found on my daughters credit. I again questioned Mirna why is my daughter credit beginning questioned when she's just an occupant and not a lease holder, she stated she knows she will let the HOA know. At this very moment I begin to feel as though my family was being discriminated against because there wasn't a clear answer as to why the occupant's information was an issue. Oct 13th, 2023
