Sam, owner of Cornerstone Stump Grinding, is a professional, friendly honest person. I tried to hire a local company in St. Augustine but they were unprofessional, at best, and after a conversation I was uncomfortable having them use a stump grinder on the property. So, last minute, I remembered I kept Sams site and called him. What a difference!! I explained to Sam that I am the contact for my neighbor, and arrange/manage work on the property. He explained the procedure, made sure I knew where pipes were located, and asked intelligent, helpful questions. Sam was willing to match a slightly lower price from the local company, since he was working in my area today, but when he finished, the owner and I decided to give him the full amount, and he was certainly worth it and then some. He was on time, listened to concerns and requirements, was courteous, and explained options. He made the hole deep and wide to accommodate a new tree. He pulled and cut lateral roots and made sure no stump was left at hole base. He erected a shield to protect the house, and when finished, no sign of former tree.
