Commonwealth improperly installed a drip edge on my new roof in 2020 which allowed rain to slowly leak into the walls of my home. Until exterior evidence of the ongoing leaks showed up by way of a single rotted exterior trim piece almost 4 years later, I didnt know that the studs within the walls were slowly becoming saturated and softening into literal wood pulp. When I noticed the rotted trim piece and my contractor pulled off a piece of siding, the wood was crumbling and the insulation was saturated. I was amazed that I had not seen signs of moisture and mold on the interior of the house yet. According to three new assessments from two roofers and a general contractor Ive received since discovering the problem, this should have been an obvious situation to the installer. Now almost 4 years later, the latent defect has caused thousands of dollars in damage within the walls in several areas. I reached out to Commonwealth who told me over the phone they would come assess it for $150. I agreed and made the appointment but was stood up by Berto. I called Commonwealth again and the owner, Jesus (Jessie) Ramirez apologized and said hed be out the same day. Jessie did come out with his crew and started by blaming low gutters, then just kept saying the fascia is rotted as if this was the cause and not the result. My contractor was on site and able to counter his excuses and he finally ended the visit by stating that he would have his gutter guy and team lead out within a few days to assess how to fix it and hed then review the numbers to see if he could make it right. He then stopped responding to me and did not make any more effort to come back out.

What an amazing experience I've had with Norberto and DJ . The customer service and attention detail they provided saved me thousands potentially. From the phone call to set the appointment, to him leaving my house nothing but top notch . Easily one of the best companies in the business.

Im so grateful for the service and attention to detail Ive received from Commonwealth. I hired another company to do my roof and they went MIA leaving visible mistakes and unfinished trim. I tried to contact them many times and they ghosted. I contacted Commonwealth and they came out and listened to my concerns, walked my roof with me, and worked with my insurance to make sure it was fixed properly and I had no hassle from the other company. I should have gone with commonwealth from the beginning but I was impulsive and impatient. Lesson learned! I wont trust anyone but commonwealth from my exterior needs from here on out! Thank you for making the experience simple, seamless, and stress free.

After my roofer of years moved away, I was looking for another with another company. I went with commonwealth roofing based on the 4.8 star reviews. Turned out to be very misleading and nothing short of a nightmare. I could not be more DISAPPOINTED in this company. I would not recommend this company. I went over everything with them in detail. They took almost two weeks they said to do their due diligence. They went to the property and inspected the job, provided quote, which was signed and returned to them and received a welcome letter, deposit delivered in person and was told the job would be done in two days. It's been over a month waiting only to be told on a Friday at 4pm after multiple attempts to reach someone. I got a text informing me someone was suppose to send me an email or text that they cannot get the job done. Unprofessional and unreliable is the only way I can describe commonwealth roofing. It gets worse when I got a call today from the owner that they would charge double the quote to get the job done because they don't want a negative review. That they knew the quote would be double and they don't know why that was not communicated to us. He argued he did not get a signed agreement even though it was sent electronically which means we have a record of it and a welcome letter. Finally, admitted that he does have the signed agreement but still would charge double the quote the provided. It makes you wonder why they took a week to inspect, check with the city before providing confirmation only to be told after a month that if we want the job done it will be double the price - which makes no sense. We have other quotes and no other roofer came up with these ridiculous - insulting prices. Leaving homeowners hanging and in a bind to come up with double the cost. Shame on commonwealth roofing. I would say run away as fast you can before they drop the ballon you too.

I can't say enough good things about Commonwealth Roofing! My sales rep, Yvette, is very knowledgeable and explained the process thoroughly. She helped me pick out the perfect shingle shade and the roof turned out beautiful! There was a small hiccup with the interior work, and Jessie, the owner, came out personally and made sure it was completed to my satisfaction. I mean, who does that?!? The entire team was fantastic; In all aspects they went above and beyond; Highly recommend!
