Bill designed our new kitchen and new flooring as well as taking down a wall to make our kitchen an open concept. Bill's attention to detail is amazing. His crew are extremely professional. We ended up with a beautiful shower that is *probably* waterproofed correctly; however, the sub-contractor who actually performed the work tried to get away with only waterproofing the corners of the walls, and when confronted insisted that concrete backer board is waterproof already and doesnt need AquaDefense. Most of the actual work was performed by a non-English-speaking sub-sub contractor under some direction by the sub-contractor, who was rarely present- but when he was present, he was abrasive, rude and condescending because my wife didnt have the details- that we gave to the project manager well in advance. She doesnt know which tile is for the ceiling, but you know who does? YOUR BOSS. Try calling him? The sub-contractor was also adamant about working on the weekends even though I was out of town (for a funeral). We said they couldnt come until Monday; but they showed up Saturday around 8am and kept knocking and ringing the doorbell until my wife got up and answered it. It took an additional 15 minutes of her calling me, me calling the project manager, and the project manager calling the sub-contractor to convince him to go away. Jesus Christ.KFC is very proud of the fact that they use the Schluter Kerdi system, however they only use it for the shower pan (floor), and not the walls or ceiling. I can only imagine this is a cost-saving measure, as AquaDefense on concrete backer board is simple, albeit probably inferior to Kerdi board since its so easy to miss a spot with AquaDefense and end up with a slow leak.Communication between KFC and the sub-contractor was poor. I had to communicate directly with the sub-contractor several things that I already communicated to the project manager. Sometimes I had to communicate with the sub-contractor via my wifes phone while out of state for a funeral (mentioned above).The owner seemed knowledgeable and the project manager was a pleasure to work with, however neither visited our home during or after the project. It was solely up to me to ensure the waterproofing and other things were being done correctly.Good help is hard to find these days, and I realize my experience is not atypical, but part of my choosing KFC were the immaculate reviews. That and the supposed use of the Kerdi system. After all, there are 20+ other companies in the area who could have taken my money I will be using one of them for additional projects and pray for the best as we all do.

Hands down best company in Jax! The KFC team are the best around town, very knowledgeable with years of experience and it shows. I would 100% hands down recommend this company!
