Don't use wells Fargo and close your account, the cashier lies about accepting torn money, I asked for a new bank note and was lied to about it being accepted, I was told they can't take it but looking online it say it can be sent into the bea or us mint to be replaced as long as it's more than 50% of the bill and mine is 99% other than it being tapped together, now I have to mail it in and wait anywhere from 2-36 months to get a new bank note. They wasn't any help and useless.

This particular branch is the worst experience in banking, however I have attempted several Wells Fargo locations that were not any better (Monument RD, Beach Blvd, etc) After several attempts just walking into a branch to have POA added to my fathers account and place my name on the account due to his failing health issues. I was constantly met with, they are understaffed and will not get to me before closing and was told to make an appointment. I made an appointment and arrived for that during my lunch break an hour later I had not been called for the appointment (having left work to try to take care of this, I could not wait any longer) Personal banker- stated they are under staffed and were moving as quickly as they could (even though when making appointment it stated to prepare for 30 min appointment length) I then again made another appointment and took the day off to ensure that I had enough time to get things done. Finally the personal banker approaches to help me and seems very irritated to be at work (as if i am a burden) I provide my documents and she forwards them to what she said was "the legal department" within 5 minutes the legal department deemed that I needed to have my sister with me (my sister or myself was listed as the POA's- stating that either could act as the agent solely) So my sister and myself make another appointment (more time off from work and wait over 45 mins passed the appointment time) On this occasion the personal banker had the same attitude (as if we were a bother to deal with) This time this personal banker sends the documents to again the "legal department" Where the legal department determines that they can not add 2 names to the account, we explained that we were happy with either of our names being added- as the POA states that we can act solely as my fathers agent it did not have to be both! It was almost like the personal banker got a thrill out of denying us the service we had come in for. We spoke with the manager and he said he would reach back out to the legal department and have the review escalated and see what they could do to help us. The following week the branch manager contacted me and stated that they could add one of the 2 of our names, as long as me or my sister provided a notarized letter stating that we were in agreement for the other to be added solely. Well at that point is was too late, as my father passed 2 days prior to the bank manager's return call. This could have all been avoided had the personal banker done her job and expressed to the legal department the provision and wording on the POA- the legal department is not looking these documents over closely enough, as it takes longer that 5 minutes to read an entire POA anyway. So I went into Wells Fargo Branches a documented 3 different times with appointments, 2 times just as a walk in over the course of September 2023- January 2024 and NEVER got done what needed to be done. Now I need a final bank statement to give to my probate attorney handling my fathers Simple probate and they will not release that. Mind you a statement should have generated Jan 17th 2024, prior to my fathers passing, but I have yet to see that! Their response is that they stop sending bank statements after the notification of death to the bank, but my father did not pass until the end of January, so why was the January statement never sent that should have generated mid month in January. Wells Fargo has made a situation that is already difficult to deal with (the loss of my father) even more difficult! If you have read this far, make sure to get your affairs in order and assign a beneficiary or POD (pay on death) to your bank account, because these folks will do everything to not do anything for the ones left behind to figure out the pieces.
