    Do not open a business account with Bank United and use the befit card. They do not protect you! They say they dont insure the debt card I was hacked 1 1/2 ago. I found out more information than their fraud department. When I emailed the fraud department all the information that I found, and actually spoke to the girl who did charge my account And I said I dont know what your fraud department is doing that I can find this all out within two days And then jokingly, I said you should hire me And she said Im harassing her and shes closing the account and paying me the money This is the head of their fraud department Beware, find a better bank

    Would give a 0 if possible. I recently sold my property and the title company uses BankUnited for escrow. I bank with Chase and was told that my proceeds are locked up because BankUnited has a history of reversing checks and passing liability for insufficient funds to the payees. Therefore, Chase automatically keeps any transaction in a 7 business day lock in case BankUnited pulls off another of their signature moves. Kicker? Chase tried to get confirmation that the funds were in the escrow account after they(BankUnited) had "cleared" the transaction, but because Chase & I are a 3rd party, they flat out rejected confirming the funds where actually there. So in essence, they clear transactions without confirming funds are there, and make the payee liable to their process failures. Summary: Don't engage with any company that banks with them for escrow accounts. I'm willing to bet their lack of professionalism & quality extends to other products/services they offer.

    Luis is pointless, we received an escrow check with their name on it and when I explained it to him, his first and only response was that he could not help no matter what. Told him that is correct, he is pointless and useless and hung up.
