I have frequented this bait shop quite a few times and I must say, the updates, upcoming renovations and helpful staff and service have really made wonderful strides in the improvement of this space since the new ownership has taken over. They are transforming this into a local staple. Chris and his staff go to great lengths to ensure youre satisfied and are very knowledgeable in the trade; making the Manasota Key Bait Shop a must go to for all your fishing needs! They even have charters and dolphin tours and so much more. Thanks Chris and Family! Keep it local!

Ive been here a couple times since the new owners took over and theres always some kind of issue. Its local to our small town so I want to support it but I will no longer support this establishment. Theyre usually out of live bait and if you do get some there so small its not worth it. Today theyre out of bait again but have frozen so I asked how much for this small pack of finger mullet, he says $5.50 so I said ok. I get to the register he then says $10 and change. I dont know it doubles in price on the walk to the register. Also how 4 frozen finger mullet would cost over $10 is mind blowing to me. The rates here have gotten higher and higher and I understand that everything has gone up but this is a rip off. I guess the owners only care about stealing money from the tourist. Save some money and go anywhere else.
