Tom Crowder at Rate (NMLS #1515975)

Had to jump through way to many hoops and still had issues the day of closing. Now that the loan is finalized it has transferred through 3 companies under their umbrella and the loan number keeps changing making it difficult to make payments. Speaking of payments this is the only modern company that does not have an easy way to make online payments. Seems like every month I get upset all over again logging in to pay my mortgage.

I am in the process of working with Guaranteed Rate on a home loan. As part of this process Meghan Dyer from the team mentioned that she could help in shopping for the best home insurance rates. She made the process SO EASY, was responsive (very quick), and answered all of my questions (there were a lot since I am not familiar with this stuff). I would recommend Guaranteed Rate to anyone and wanted to highlight the excellent work of Meghan in particular. NOTE: I will provide a review on the loan process as a whole once that is closed.

Worked with the branch located in Greenwood Village and after nearly 4 months, they could not close a straightforward refi, so I pulled my application. They are very disorganized. Very poor communication skills from the branch manager/VP of mortgage lending I worked with there. I had to chase him for information and he was consistently late on following up with my questions. It wasnt until I called him out on an issue that my insurance company had addressed thoroughly as a condition to closing that he began to show interest in my mortgage. I had to constantly request updates regarding what stage my refi was at as weeks went by without receiving any information. It definitely felt like there was no sense of customer service or priority. Overall very unprofessional experience with the branch manager/VP of mortgage lending. Would not recommend.

I will try to be professional & not use names BUT wouldnt suggest using Guaranteed Rate of Denver if you plan to purchase a home an awful lender.... 2 weeks before closing we switched lenders due to lack of competence from the team here! Thankfully, we still closed, but yikes this place will bring unneeded stress into your life!!!
