Jeff and his team really dropped the ball on this one multiple times. I was referred to him and glad I didn't follow through. First Jeff and his team took forever to get back to me. Once that date came and went I started looking at other lenders. In the meantime a neighbor worked across the hall from Jeff at cross country mortgage and he said "i don't like to bad mouth anyone but everyone here thinks he's a creep"
After going with another company and a MUCH faster and smoother process all the way around I closed with a lower rate than Jeff could offer. I called the day before closing and told his team if they couldn't give me a better rate im going to close with another company. They seemed shocked I shopped around
I told a friend who was also referred to Jeff to be careful and it would be beneficial to shop around. She said since it was a government program its the same rate everywhere so there wasn't a point. Something happened with paperwork, I guess because it wasn't very beneficial to Jeff, and they had to push back closing and pay more in fees. The realtor was awesome and covered the costs out of pocket himself but Jeff refused to help. Just not a good guy in my opinion
