This was my middle school (used a fake name for my email so you might not recognize me) but whereas most people say middle school is the worst years of your life, it was the best years of my life. The teachers believed in me a lot, (maybe a little too much) definitely more than I did, so when they believed I could do something, I'd often be in tears convinced they were asking me for the impossible, but when I came through and did it, it was a spectacular moment. You get to work on one thing that you're truly passionate about and Logan teaches you important skills while perusing what you want. It teaches how to make proposals, how to write essays, how to source essays, how to research things and fact check them too, taking your own research (such as polling your classmates or even making scientific studies about them). In both of my following highschools, I'd always point out what Logan did that was far superior in every way and when I decided to design my ideal school, it was a lot like Logan, only with dorms, and a pool, and a workout room, and other small cool doodads. The trips really bring communities together. The school Also teaches students leadership and independence. If you want something, you can make a proposal and things will change, unlike most other schools. A girl in my class wrote a proposal to let kids go out and have recess instead of being held inside to work if they were running behind on work, using studies around how physical movement helps focus, and afterwards the teacher set it up so the students who were often behind were in close range so they'd get easy access to help. The teachers treat students as their equals and that makes all the difference. This school is amazing in teaching kids what they'll need as an adult. I wish it had a high school I could have gone into. As I graduate and head off to college this year, I strongly believe that Logan's curriculum is the basic foundation that got me accepted to every school I applied for along with how I'm making everything I want in school. In my high school, everything that gets promised never comes through, so I'm singlehandedly running prom and able to work the price down to $10 per person while student government didn't even manage to get an election this year. I cannot reccomend this school enough. Also if you tour, ask about math appreciation day. Oh my god I loved math appreciation day.
