Terrible management when it comes to the safety of their tenants. The side walks have been frozen for days. We have calls like three times and in those times they said that they will fix the problem but they didnt. They dont care about people safety.

I lived in this building for almost 4 years and had minimal problems. The rent is fairly low for the area, and as long as you don't expect much in terms of amenities, it's a pretty good deal. My apartment was clean, I had no problems with roaches or bedbugs, and the walls are thick. Unless you live on the top floor, you'll probably hear some sound from above, but it was rarely an issue for me. The building itself probably could have used a bit of cleaning, but the aesthetic is cute and artsy. I think that attracts a number of artsy people to the place. There's a really weird variety of people who live here, but in general, they seem to be in their twenties, working or in college, and they tend to keep to themselves. Pros: Fairly inexpensive Close to lots of restaurants and bars Highly walkable to downtown Plenty of street parking on a fairly wide street Big windows Hardwood floors in main living areas in apartments Cute renovation Washer/dryer in basement, which takes coins or app payment Pet friendly Free basic wifi--I was able to play video games online ok for a time, but eventually opted to pay for better internet Easy access to hospital Cons: Could probably use some maintenance (painting, cleaning, etc) Nearby a hospital and Colfax, so the neighborhood can be a bit weird and sometimes loud Difficult to get parking lot spots, and street sweeping is the worst Frequent weed smell (wasn't the worst for me, but I could see it being a problem for someone else) Tiny kitchens--specifically in studios. I lived in both a studio and a 1BR and can tell you that in the studio, there is literally no counter space at all The back stairs are a nightmare in winter Your bike will get stolen out of the bike garage eventually Ok, so that sounds like a lot of cons, right? For Denver, these are pretty standard. On the whole, I had few problems with the building, and would definitely recommend it to someone just starting out on their own.
