I have stayed in this apartment for one year, and very lucky to meet a very nice manager Kevin. This apartment is behind the Blackjack pizza and Wendys, and just take 5 to 10 minutes walk to Daniels College of Business. What s more, the 1b1b room is very cheap around the DU area, with just $900 for one month. Consequently, highly recommend to stay in here!

These apartments are super affordable, spacious, and in a great location for DU students, and the manager Kevin is very kind and easy to get ahold of for any issues. The big problem is the bedbugs, common for Denver. From the previous tenants I've spoken to, this building has a history of infestations going back at least a couple of years. Multiple units affected on every floor, some more than once, and all the units are connected by heating ducts and share a single laundry room. I was on the bottom floor and moved out in June, but just spoke with a tenant from the top floor who left a few weeks ago for the same reason, and he said this wasn't the first time his unit experienced this in his five years living there. The treatments just don't work. I lost a lot of my belongings and had to move out before the end of my lease. Landlord kept our deposit, too. I wish the best to Kevin and the other tenants because everyone I dealt with was lovely, but the bugs and bites were awful and I think people ought to know about it before moving here

I have lived in Alida Rae Apartments for about 3 years and my experience has been wonderful. I used to live in a one-bedroom apartment which is very spacious and have lots of storage space. The one-bdrm apts have stove and refrigerator and the two-bdrm apts also have dishwasher in them. Reserved parking is available for a minimal fee every month. There is also plenty of off-street parking if you do not want to pay the fee. Considering the size of the apts, the rent is very reasonable. However, it does not include all utilities, only heat, hot water, and trash. You have to pay for electricity. The apt is located just beside the University. I used to walk to my department everyday. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby and hence you can dine out everyday, if you want. A public bus stops on Univ Blvd just behind the building which will take you to the light rail station and other places like the Cherry Creek mall. There is also a park at the corner of the street where you can have a walk in the morning and evening, if you desire. On-site manager, Steve, is also very helpful. He will help you with any problem you have. He once even fixed my bike and provided me with polythin sheets when I wanted to cover my furnitures as I was leaving for 3 mths closing the apt. He is also very flexible about rent payment and usually accepts late payments without any fee once in a while. The only problem I had while I was living here was that the A/C did not work very well. But I guess you can solve that problem by buying a fan or a portable A/C. Overall, its a very good apt, very convenient to live in if you are a DU student. The management is very good and the on-site manager is very helpful.
