I live here currently but probably will not be renewing my lease. The building is a cute 1920s style apartment and is steps away from the Capitol, 16th Street mall and other great downtown locations. My neighbors are nice and most people who live here are single 20-30 somethings, older folks, and young couples. The apartment itself is great for a single person or a couple if they get the 1 bedroom. Pretty clean and the laundry room works fine. The reason why I will probably be leaving is not because of RHP or the apartment itself but because of the Harm Reduction Center that is located next to the alleyway in this building. The harm reduction center has brought in a lot of crime, drugs and danger to the area. I fear for my safety throwing out my trash in the alley because of the amount of people shooting up or camping out in the alley. I have had to call the police multiple times with nothing resolved as I have had several times people on drugs pounding on my window (I live in a garden level apartment), camping out in the patio/garden level terrace and getting into fights in the education departments parking lot. In the front entrance I've had to wait in friend's cars for up to half an hour due to the amount of drug users roaming the streets up and down in a manic and scary state. For young single women, I advise you to look elsewhere. For the amount of rent they are charging this is not worth it. If you want peace of mind and sleep every night this place is not for you.

My neighbors have a vicious dog that growls and slams against the door every time I walk by. Three break ins in the two years I've lived here. Loud dogs, cigarette smoke everywhere, and I went over a month waiting for a screen to be put in my window. Handymen are nice, but I cannot wait to leave.

I had been staying here for almost 2 years! It is really good for its price with a super convenience location. It would be great, if they have a parking space. You cannot control the AC or heater by yourself. The ceiling is quite low.
