HI San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf Hostel

Best place to be for the great views, breakfast included, great staff. Im very glad I stayed here and definitely will highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience SF In its full glory. Rooms: Very well cleaned rooms. Washrooms are incredibly neat as well. Nearby activities: Boating, eating, fishing, swimming, SF Safety: Lockers are provided, bring your own lock or buy a lock at ~70 cents from the reception. Walkability: Incredible walkable with views to die for. Food & drinks: Kitchen is great so you can buy groceries from Safeway, which is very close by and cook or there are plenty options for restaurants. Noteworthy details: The view is just unbelievable, surrounded by Greenery. Close by everything!

An excellent youth hostel. I was in a 20-bed mixed dormitory and the dormitory was quiet and safe, the only downside was the last evening when one of the travelers had cannabis on him which stank up the entire dormitory. The sanitary facilities are generally very clean, the lack of cleanliness at certain rare times was really due to disrespectful travelers. Perhaps we should put a poster in the toilets to remind us that the toilet brush exists and should be used when necessary? Breakfast was very, basic but more than sufficient. The kitchen was functional really very well. The location was really good and the other travelers were very friendly. The activities offered are perfectly suited to meeting people. A small downside may be the staff who could be a little more friendly in certain cases (for example when I was told to wear shoes in the kitchen even though it is written nowhere that we must have them and that 'I only had the dishes left to do (less than 2 minutes), someone could have told me that next time I would have to have shoes, a short remark that I didn't appreciate, not seeing the impact that it has on others and taking into account the greater lack of hygiene of other travelers...).
