Metro at Showplace Square

No real complaints after 6 months. Spacious townhome, nice appliances and fixtures. Christina in the leasing office always knows my name and is helpful with sorting out maintenance issues (just minor stuff but the issues were resolved within hours). There are a couple of quirks with how the buildings are laid out, so getting from the elevator to my building involves unlocking a couple of doors. Same for taking the trash to the chute. The package room is a bit of a cluster, but understand there is limited space and everyone is getting lots delivered. Garage parking is great. Tons of delicious restaurants nearby. If you face the roundabout at Division/Townsend, expect it to be a little noisy and lots of brake dust on your windowsill. Would be nice if there was window washing as my external windows are filthy, but no way to clean them from inside. One drawback is the lack of ability to get fiber internet. Apparently fiber was run to the garage for use by the commercial spaces, but it was never run to the individual units. So youre capped at 100 MBPS, which feels slower and slower as technology advances. UPDATE: July 2021. After living here for a year. We still love it. Weve signed a new lease. The new building manager, Harry, is great. Very pleasant and has made some improvements. Window washing in the building occurred last month and means I can see out my windows clearly. :) Im guessing the annual cleaning may have been overlooked in 2020 due to COVID. The package room is much more organized so you can actually find your stuff. And Google Fiber is now available, so 1 Gigabit speed is available. UPDATE 2: January 2024. Almost 4 years in.Still enjoy living here.
