Just wanted to inform everyone who interested in this apartment that the utility fee including water, trash, sewer etc is around $200 ($191+$5 online payment fee). I just got my bill for Feb it was actually a shock to me and leasing office told me this is in the normal range. Oh $200 is not indulging electricity, thats separate and through pge.

Extremely shady staff, and takes entire security deposit citing cleaning although the place was already professionally cleaned.

UPDATE: I lived at The Civic for a few years and its the best apartment building Ive lived in to date. Tanya, Leslie, Ken, George, Adnan, and everyone else on the staff are awesome. They helped me so much with things over the years and made the experience fantastic. I loved my apartment and the location in SF. Highest recommend!Ive been living here for the past three months and love it. The building staff is efficient and friendly, the units themselves are well-equipped and well designed, and the building is secure with 24-hour staff coverage. The Civic is centrally located in Civic Center with a fantastic roof view of City Hall and the SF skyline. BART and MUNI are within 5 minutes of the building by walking. We are also next to a large private garage on Hayes St of Getaround cars available for rent if you dont happen to have a car of your own. Its great. If I had one gripe, its that the in-building gym does not have a squat rack or barbell. But other than that, I highly recommend living here!

I loved living at The Civic and recommend it to anyone that is looking for a modern apartment complex in San Francisco. The best part about living at the civic was the amazing staff. Tanya, John, Ken, George, and everyone in the leasing and front offices have been so kind and helpful. They are understanding, friendly, and quick to respond. Maintenance requests are always done in a timely manner and you will always find help if needed. The apartment itself is modern and clean. The appliances are good. There isnt as much lighting as other apartments but theres a good number of plugs you can use. There is heat but no A/C (I didnt need it most of the year but could bother some people). They have a secure package system where they will put any packages you have in Luxor lockers and will notify you whenever you receive any. The rooftop has a beautiful view of City Hall and the city. Its also very accessible and really close to Hayes Valley and the Muni Station.
