If I could rate him a "zero"... I would. We trusted Dave Hastings with the most important purchase of our lives... please do not make the same mistake as we did in trusting that he will "have your back" after the sale when you find you need him most.
Long story short, my wife and I purchased a home in 2013 using Dave as our realtor and from the very beginning we experienced a considerable amount of roof leakage due to a pre-existing condition on the 25 year old home we purchased. We tried in earnest to try and convey the nature of the roof throughout the years, but by the time the El Nino rains hit with real rain, our pathetic roof did not stand a chance and Dave left us holding the $25,000 dollar bill to repair what should have been dealt with before we ever moved in. It should be illegal to sell a home at prime market value in Southern California (or anywhere for that matter) and then look the other way a few years down the road as Dave told us that we are going to have to get a new roof! He is not worthy of your business and there are plenty of other good real estate agents to entrust your most important purchase in life from. Did I mention that Dave was also a trusted friend of our family... makes the story even more unimaginable to comprehend. Again, please choose wisely and choose another realtor for your purchase.
