Look, if we're being honest, anybody can open a lockbox and show you around a home. Anybody can put a sign up, hire a photographer, and write a nice blurb about how special your house is and why folks should come see it. If that's the value your Realtor is offering you - it's time to call Jon Fields instead. On our most recent house sale, the buyer's financing fell through and for a couple of days it looked like the deal was going to fall apart. Jon tapped into his network of contacts and persuaded the *other agent* to get his buyer in touch with Jon's finance guy, and in doing so he saved both that deal, and the contingent deal to buy our new house as well. During this entire episode, Jon maintained great communication with the agents for the other offers we received, just in case our buyer was unable to secure financing. He had buyers waiting in the wings to jump in as backups if needed. He also kept the seller of our new home informed about what was going on, which persuaded them to remain patient with us while we sorted things out. Had the problem been in some other aspect of the deal (for example, termite clearance or homeowner's insurance or plumbing or roofing or electrical) you can be certain Jon has a tested and trusted contact for that as well. When I helped my dad sell his house in another state, I reached out to Jon -- who actually interviewed several agents in that state and recommended two or three that would be a good fit based on those conversations. Jon's referrals reflect back on his own reputation, so he is very careful about who he recommends. This is just standard business for Jon. This is also why we have used him 7 times in the past few years, and will continue to use him for any future transactions. Call Jon. You deserve more from your Realtor.
