Marty and team were critically helpful in design, permitting, and installation of our desires for a quiet, shady back yard for our San Diego property. We brought him a list of plants we wanted to use, an incredible list of false charges of land use violations, and we lived out of town. He used our plant list, enhanced with suggestions from his knowledge of plants we'd never heard of, to create a plan we liked, and like more every day. His contacts in the industry got us a top-notch crew to install the garden (over two hundred trees on nearly two acres), and he was personally involved with the city and other government employees who use their administrative positions to abuse law-abiding property owners. Without his help, we'd have never been able to do it.

It’s rare that you come across standout talent like Martin - he brings experience, knowledge, and sensitivity to the table. I had the pleasure of working with Martin and his team at Environs for over eighteen years while a principal at Architects Magnus, collaborating on several successful projects. I was particularly impressed by his willingness to work within the client’s project parameters and his ability to solve complex issues with creative solutions. His ability extends to connecting the dots when tying design with budget. To add, he is up-to-speed on contemporary issues such as proper plant selection and low-water use in sustainable landscape design. The proof is evident in his built work, current and past. Environs was recommended to me by our Project Architect, Reyes Studio. Our Property in Alpine was 7 acres of undeveloped sloping hillside. Our Vision was for a Tuscan Hillside Villa that would take in all the long distance views. This is where Marty from Environs became a key team player in coordinating the grading, drainage, walls and landscape. Without Marty's help the project would never have turned out to our liking. I would recommend Marty for any landscape project.
