We had our 1929 home brought up to 2021. We love it. Murray Lampert took extra steps to honor the old house but gave it a wonder facelift to bring it up to the 21st Century. I highly recommend them. They can do it all.

We added an ADU to our residence last year. After meeting with several contractors we decided to use MLDBR, and glad we did. They made the entire process virtually hassle free. Exterior and interior design, architectural planning, filing for permits, quality construction, and finished product was honestly everything we had hoped for. There were no hidden surprises or costs. Murray Lampert worked on a major remodel of our house that included an all-new everything kitchen, new fireplace, new flooring and baseboards throughout the house, two new windows, re-staining every cabinet in the house, re-flashing other windows, painting the entire interior of the house, re-stuccoing the entire house, and renovating three bathrooms. All of Murray Lamperts employees handled themselves professionally and went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with the quality of the work product, which is not something you can say about every contractor that you hire. The Murray Lampert folks were helpful every step of the way. Alyson was great in helping us figure out the design elements. Her skill with using the computerized layout of various design choices enabled us to make decisions based on what different design features might actually look like. She also went above and beyond in tracking down potential samples that would work for us. Our project manager, Lea, was very responsive, kept on top of the project, and was very good at communicating what was going on. Working with Cameron on the initial contract and scope of work and the various expansions of the scope of work also went smoothly. A major remodel is not for the faint of heart and takes a lot of work and communication on the part of the contractor, the subs, and the homeowner. In a perfect world, construction or a remodel would go smoothly. But I have found that rarely happens. Not everything on our job went without a hitch. Sometimes, work was done incorrectly, the wrong items were ordered, or the work product did not live up to my admittedly perfectionist standards. However, the strongest thing Murray Lampert has going for it as a contractor is that they stand behind the quality of their work. Every time I had an issue with the work of a subcontractor, we discussed the problem and it got taken care of to my satisfaction. Murray Lampert never gave me a hard time that my standards were unreasonable or told me they couldnt do anything more to make me happy. Sometimes, we had multiple meetings with Rachel, Gregg, the project manager, and the subs, or it took a couple re-dos to get it just right. But in the end, we were very happy with the results and the way everything looks. A year after the remodel was done, a leak occurred near one of the windows that had been reflashed. During Tropical Storm Hilary, a minor water leak occurred on one of our new windows. Murray Lampert came back both times without giving me any problems and made the necessary repairs. Murray Lamperts response to our post-remodel leaks shows they are not the kind of company that takes your money and you never hear from them again. I would strongly recommend Murray Lampert if you want to sleep at night knowing your contractor will do whatever it takes to solve problems, make things right, and stand behind their work even beyond when you wrote your final check to them.

We decided to go with Murray Lampert after interviewing several other design/build firms in our area. They were by far the best communicators, idea makers, and professionals. We felt strongly that we would be able to work with them and the crews they brought to the job site. We began our major remodel during early Covid. They and their teams were always respectful and mindful of the changing situations. Although as with any job, we were met with some delays, Gregg, Rachel, and Cameron kept us in the loop and informed, offering alternatives if that was necessary. They had a can-do attitude and the subcontractors clearly respected them. They helped us stay on-budget and very nearly on time - which given the timing of the project (8/20-2/21), was remarkable. We are more than thrilled with our new home and I would very highly recommend Murray Lampert!
