If you are looking for a professional and accurate appraisal of your jewelry this is where you should go. I was referred to Kevin at Natural Elements by another jeweler located in the same building in downtown San Diego while looking for a certified jewelry appraiser. I made an appointment for appraisals of two emerald pendents. The store was secure and clean, Kevin was very hospitable as he himself assessed both pieces with his staff. He found that both pieces were different in ctw than what they were sold as and one had a different number of secondary stones. On the pendent that was discovered to have a different stone count there was over a hundred small secondary diamonds and Kevin noticed that his count was above what had been stated while I was purchasing the piece. His professionalism and experience were evident in his conduct and in his explanation of the appraisals. I highly recommend Natural Elements and will be using them again if I find myself in San Diego and in need of a certified jewelry appraiser.

I am truly, truly disappointed. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I had to break my silence on this, especially after going to check the appraisal we received with another jeweler and learning that Kevins appraisal was almost $4000 below the value of the ring. My fiancé went in with our 18k gold bespoke 2.15carat round brilliant galaxy diamond after being referred here. Kevin did not state that he does not specialize in colored stones, and his first appraisal came in $1000 below what we paid for it. When my fiancé told Kevin this information, he asked to see the receipt and then upped the appraisal to the receipt value. He charged us $120 without any acknowledgement of the absurdity of this circumstance or acknowledgement that he does not know about this colored diamond, and we walked away truly disappointed, upset, and $120 in the hole. We went to another appraiser about a week ago who without asking for the receipt appraised the ring at $4000 more than Kevins appraisal. Honestly, this is just bad business practices. Kevin should have informed us that he does not specialize in these stones and then we could have made our own educated choice on whether to work with him. Instead we are $120-less and he $120 richer. So, so disappointing.
