I was an avid customer dropping off items almost every other week. Things were great until it wasn't. One of my new blouses came back with what looked like grease stains accompanied with a tag stating they tried to remove the stains, but couldn't. This blouse was brand new and never worn when I dropped it off so whatever happened happened at their establishment. I was upset that they caused the damage (intentionally or accidentally) and didn't notify me. Instead they sandwiched it between all my other items for me to discover weeks later.When I notified them of the damage, they were rude and offered no apologies even to a loyal customer. I had to ask them to try to remove the stains at no charge. Thank goodness the stains came out. They remained rude, offered no apologies, and took no accountability until the very end. Wow, they just lost a loyal customer due to pride. Happily taking my business elsewhere.

Beware of Outrageous Pricing I dropped off my clothing at the counter. The clerk took my clothes, and told me when I could pick them up. I looked at my receipt, and saw there was no pricing listed. I asked her, "How much is it going to cost?" She told me that she did not know, because the person who makes alterations was not in the office. I gave this business the benefit of doubt, and trusted that they would call me with a final bill amount. Fast forward, a few days later when I came to pickup my clothes I found the following outrageous prices on my bill: $25.00 to stitch a hole inside one pants pocket, $32.00 to fix two jeans pockets (a hole inside the pockets), $16.00 to fix one zipper on one jean pants. In addition, I was not satisfied with other service and quality issues. My advice to you is, don't go to Scripps Mesa Cleaners. I recommend taking your alteration jobs a couple of blocks up the street, to the sewing businesses in the Wells Fargo shopping center, on Mira Mesa Blvd. Service: Alterations
