RUN!!! I witnessed Henry Amigable literally destroy my family members' home before they were forced to fire him (after he invoiced for 90% of the project yet completed only 40%). Trying to work with Henry has been a real-life nightmare. The combination of shoddy work, severe lack of project management, egregious overbilling, and very argumentative demeanor has inflicted unnecessary stress and HUGE financial strain. After doing some Google research on Henry, this seems to be his mode of operation. I STRONGLY advise anyone thinking about their services to look elsewhere.

I had two appointments w Mr. Amigable..the first one he missed, did not call me. I called him and he said, "Oh I am at an inspection..I totally forgot I made an appointment w you!" I made a second appointment for the next day. Again, he did not show up..nor did he call. I called him and he said, "Oh I am waiting for the Rotorooter man..I have a plumbing problem!" He continued, "I have so many problems..no hot water and three women in the house". So I told him "And you were not going to call me?". He replied.."I don't blame you if you don't want me for the job." No, I do not want him or his company for my siding job. What a non business like demeanor.

I contracted with Henry Amigable of ABG Inc. in June of 2022 for an ADU at my home in Bay Park. Henry indicated a 6-month timeline for the project and provided multiple references - all of whom turned out to be personal friends or works in progress. The communication was initially good but we noticed he would make many errors, confuse our project with others, and was not detail-oriented. I had to rewrite the window order because he mixed up the length and width or other details entirely. He billed us with invoices far ahead of the work and we soon found ourselves $50k behind, paying for work that did not get done for months. The timeline kept getting delayed while my wife was pregnant, which ultimately interfered with plans to have our family stay with us during a very important and vulnerable time. We experienced a natural gas leak that his plumber kept denying. We had to have SDGE come out to prove a leak existed before the plumber fixed it. Henry refused to provide information about the plumber and would not provide the plumber's license number stating he is "not contractually obligated to provide that information." We strongly suspect the "plumber" does not hold a plumber's license. Henry eventually abandoned the project and claimed it was due to non-payment. In reality, he was issuing retroactive change orders and adding to our bill without our consent despite our full and on-time payments. He either did not pay subcontractors or substantially delayed payment to many of them leading to a mechanics lien being placed on our property by one of his suppliers. He is now threatening to sue me for payments he says he is still owed. We are now mired in a conflict involving the contractor's state license board and attorneys. I strongly recommend staying away from ABG Inc. I wish I knew what I was getting into a year ago. Google his name (and criminal record) if you want to know more...
