    The assistant manager on duty displayed poor customer service. On 03/21/2022 at 7:54pm, the cashiers on duty were heard using foul language towards each other in front of the store, with customers present, due to one cashier taking an extended break (Registers 6 and 4). This behavior was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Additionally, a female Caucasian customer became agitated with cashier 6, and she began using foul language towards them. With my 10-year-old son present, I politely requested that the customer refrain from using inappropriate language, especially considering the presence of children. Instead of cooperation, I received further verbal abuse from the irate customer. Despite the assistant manager (male) passing by, he took no action to intervene. The situation escalated outside as the customer loaded her cart, and as I began to walk to my car with my purchases, I observed the assistant manager sitting in his car, smoking a cigarette, and laughing with the irate customer. The customer directed more foul language towards me, and yet the assistant manager made no effort to intervene or prevent any potential physical altercation, as the customer was insistent on starting a fight. This lack of action from the assistant manager not only indicates poor customer service but also poses a safety issue. I believe the assistant manager's response could have been more appropriate, especially considering my child's presence. As a manager myself in the surgical field, I find such behavior unacceptable and do not tolerate it from my own employees. It is my hope that your store will hire more suitable and professional employees who understand how to effectively manage such situations.
