Phana and her supervisor under Caliber were the most unprofessional loan company I have ever tried to use. I went with Caliber as I had purchased my home in Oregon with Caliber, however Phana's local branch was horrific. After receiving preapproval, for 3 weeks (of the 30 day close) during my accepted home buying offer, I was told that everything was correct, the loan would be approved, the paperwork was fine, etc. However, she would not lock in a loan rate and rate continued to increase with the market. As I expressed concern over this, she continued to come up with excuses for why she had not locked in the rate. Following this, Phana did not submit documents in a timely fashion to underwriter, leading to Caliber determining they would not fulfill the loan that Phana had said everything was fine for. One week prior to closing, my loan was denied after dozens of emails/calls confirming that the loan would be approved and confirmation from Phana that it would. I was lucky to find a reputable loan company that easily approved the exact same loan, and did so in under 2 weeks (they were absolutely amazing and I will be writing a review for them). Phana is one of the most dishonest professionals I have ever met- I almost lost my home due to her continued dishonesty, misrepresentation, and lying communication. She continued to promise that everything was good when in fact this was the complete opposite.

There are not enough words to express my graditude to Phana, Peter and the rest of her crew.  I worked with them to get a loan for Homes for Heros.  At this point they are the true heros.  This loan was not an easy one and there were many detours along the way and with each one Phana was able to pull a rabbit out of her hat of extensive knowlege and solve the problem.  Not only is she smart but her and Peter are so kind and will walk you throught anything questions you might have with ease.  It was such a pleasure to get to know these fine people.  I will definately use them when it comes time to refinance.  Thank you so much for you service.

I have nothing but great things to say about Phana and Janice. I might have been rather difficult to work with, since my anxiety was at an all time high as a single income buyer, single mom, working and trying to buy a home during the covid crisis... but Phana made sure to relieve my stress by making sure she and her team communicated and reassured me every step of the way. Anytime I had a question, Janice would promptly respond via e-mail. She also made sure to send me updates weekly and anything in between. I received a rate that you can't beat and received a good amount of rebates back! I was able to close in 30 days, which is now rare during this pandemic! I have friends and relatives that keep getting their date pushed with other lenders/banks, but my closing date never changed. Thank you Phana for making this first time home buying process so smooth and easy!!

Phana and her team's lack of communication, unavailability, patronizing and condescending tone, unparalleled incompetency, gross negligence, and documented dishonesty made this one of the most miserable experiences imaginable. They messed up every form they touched, including incorrect information and repeated mistakes regarding the fundamentals of our home's vesting, loan amount, purchase price, etc., and had an attitude when the errors were pointed out. It pains me to leave even one star. There are lots of loan consultants out there; in a competitive market that moves fast, save yourself this migraine and go elsewhere - I wish we had. Also, know that once you have a credit report check done for a loan, you have 45 days to go to any other loan agency with that same credit report, so you aren't stuck.
