image LADIES / MOTHERS PLEASE TAKE YOUR SERVICES ELSEWHERE, THESE “OB RESIDENTS” ARE A JOKE!! THEY JUST QUICKLY WANT TO GO UP THE LADDER JUST SO THEY CAN HAVE AN OFFICIAL TITLE TO THEIR NAME. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS!!!

image Banner University Women's Institute is a professional, clean and well run facility that truly cares about the individual. I am a patient of Dr. Rachael Smith's and have been absolutely so blessed that I found her. She took the time to address my complex medical history, trialed out options with me and eventually led to hysterectomy where they found endometriosis. With that said, the surgery went amazing and they ensured that my recovery would succeed. Yes, everybody is different and some people have reservations and do not want to trial various methods; but patients must understand that doctors have to tailor each treatment to the individual and their chemical makeup. If the patient is not willing to try various treatments and stuck in a mindset, then they won't truly be happy with anything other than what they want. With that said, it is not the doctors at this clinic's "fault" for not meeting every patients requirements or needs. They must do what is clinically and logically the best solution. If this was the case and I had not worked though options, they would not have been able to operate and find my endometriosis which was causing a great deal of pain. Regardless, if you are looking for a gynecologist who is loving, caring and truly wants the patient to be healed and away from pain, go to Dr. Smith and the Banner Women's Institute!

image Doctors do not listen to what you want to do. Kept pushing me to get on birth control or an IUD when I’m trying to get pregnant in the next few months. Do not waste your going here. The doctor I booked an appointment with came in the room for about 1 minute and asked if I had any questions and left. I left in tears, makes me sad to see how doctors do not listen to their patients and wants/needs.

I had an appointment on august 2nd. Waited 45 minutes. Informed the front desk I was going to the bathroom. When I came back, the person filling in for dr. Smiths regular nurse came out to get me. She rushed me to the scale speaking fast thinking it was going to rush the check in process. I had to repeatedly ask her to repeat herself because of the speed of speaking she was also mumbling. I came into the exam room. She asked why I was here and I told her I think for a Pap smear and biopsy. She said I was here for results. I asked if I was getting the Pap smear done and she said that’s up to the doctor. That is fine I understand but she did not give the banner experience. I felt really lost and frustrated with my care since joining banner and the attitude is not helping. She asked if I left a urine sample and I explained I wasn’t aware I had to leave a sample. She said for the exam I was supposed to have I was supposed to leave one. You cannot believe how defeated I feel right now. She just came back into the exam room and seems upset while she’s She just came back into the exam room and seems upset while she’s setting up for my procedure. I don’t know if I even want to stay. The frustration of this offices poor communication and less than professional attitude. This is why people are losing faith in the healthcare system.
