image I found two baby birds and they looked very different. They turned out to be finches anyways check them up to liberty wildlife and what a great place to take these little guys! Thank you so much for taking in these beautiful little finches, and for being so gracious!

image Liberty is an amazing place, the history is such a great story! I was there with a group of kids on spring break - a field trip for a Phoenix community center.  The volunteers were all very knowledgeable, but I found some of vocabulary a little over most of the kids comprehension. Perhaps the volunteers could break down some terms (I.e., "release" "imprint" "trout hatchery": return to the wild, raised by a human and thinking the human is their parent, a place where fish are raised).  Also, one volunteer actually told one of kids that her question was silly. No question asked in sincerity is ever silly.  Maybe your docents need to "read the room" before launching into their presentations.

image My husband and I brought a mallard here today that we saw get hit by a car on a busy street. I didn't even plan on searching for sanctuaries to bring her because we found her on Saturday night and assumed no one would be open until at least Monday, but when I decided to do a preliminary search today, I was so glad to find this sanctuary not only 20 minutes from home but also that they were open on a Sunday and happily ready to take our little ducky in. We were happy to make a donation towards her care and hope that she will make a speedy recovery. Thanks for everything you do here. Birds are so precious.
