3 years later and Im still trying to get a refund. When I called the billing office with the insurance lady, we were basically told to F off. I had pregnancy complications and could not have birthed with them if I wanted to. Just know that when you pay up front, if you can't go here for whatever reason, you may never see that money again. I saw other reviews saying this same thing and thought that would never be me because I wanted to birth in a center so badly, but here I am.. 3 years later and no refund.

We loved having our prenatal and postpartum care at Blossom! We ended up needing to give birth in a hospital so we missed out on using the center for labor and birth, which was a bummer, but even still we would highly recommend using Blossom Birth Center! The midwives are wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable, plus the center itself is so much more calming and warm than a clinical doctor's office, which helped to feel at ease and comfortable. We felt very supported in our decisions to do vaccines and other medical interventions and supports in this setting, but never any pressure to do anything one particular way, which gave us the opportunity to make our own decisions that were best for our family and baby! If you are looking for an out-of-hospital birthing experience, I highly suggest checking out Blossom!

UPDATE: I went on to have a normal and uncomplicated homebirth, my child was also perfectly healthy with no anomalies (as confirmed on follow up US 3 weeks after the initial review). It was a blessing in disguise that we were dropped as I went on to find a midwife who believed in birth. I am truly blindsided by the carelessness and lack of communication displayed by Blossom Birth Center. I began prenatal care with them approximately a month and a half ago and have had a consultation with the OB as well as two follow ups with Midwives. During my consultation with the OB I informed her that I had an autoimmune condition that was in remission and was on medication for said condition. I had already had one perfectly normal, uncomplicated, low risk delivery. The OB assured me that this condition was not an exclusion (I had checked their list of exclusions prior to the consult), that they work with people with autoimmune conditions, and only severe cardiac and hypertensive conditions would be risked out. I felt great about this and scheduled my first visit. In both my intake forms and at both of my follow ups it was noted what condition I had and what medication I was on. Also note I have a specialist I see frequently who has assured me this medication is safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding and provided me with supportive literature. Today, at 20w I receive a call from one of their midwives and the OB saying they would be dropping me as a patient because the medication I am on is very dangerous (implying it is irresponsible for me to be pregnant while on this medication) and would be better off in the hospital, without telling me what care I would need at the hospital that a birth center couldnt provide. Note, Ive already had a completely normal, uncomplicated birth with this medication. It all feels very shady that they saw me for multiple appointments, collected my payment, and then dropped me citing the reason being a condition and medication they have known I was on since before I even signed on as a patient. Personally, I would not trust this birth center or ever recommend them to someone seeking a birth outside of the hospital.

I finally have a little bit of time to sit down and write the review you all deserve. Im a first-time mom of a 2month old little boy and I could not be more grateful for my birth experience and all the amazing treatment I received at Blossom. I initially went to a different OB and I was planning on giving birth at a hospital, I went to my first appointment and the way they treated me was horrible, one day I got home after an appointment where they made me cry and decided to look for a different place and thats when I found blossom. I gave them a call right away since I was almost 20 weeks and since the moment Kathryn picked up the phone, I felt in my heart it was the right place, she was warming, friendly and it felt like she was giving my appointment the same urgency and importance as I did. I met Dr. Nichelle Whitehead; she was amazing and explained to us how they operate and answered all our questions and concerns. The midwives are ALL amazing and all the resources they have available such as lactation consultants, chiropractors, vitamin C IVs, birth and breastfeeding classes are all AMAZING and I could not be more thankful. During my pregnancy, I had a few scares and they went above and beyond to make sure the baby and I were ready and in good condition to have the water birth I had planned for, they even scheduled me with a specialist at St.Josephs to be extra sure baby was growing properly and was healthy to avoid any complications during labor, in other words, they made me feel safe and did what was right for me and the baby. I want to give a special shout-out to Chynna my midwife during my babys birth Teresa and Gaby who were assisting, they made me feel special and like I was their priority before, during, and after my baby arrived. They were thoughtful, kind, extremely involved, and very supportive the entire time. My birth experience was literally a dream thanks to the amazing team and support I had. If you are looking for a great place and a great experience, look no further, you are going to love Blossom. I will definitely be coming back for my next pregnancy and I will continue with my OG, general and now pediatric care with them. Love you all!!

Wonderful birth center, with beautiful people running it! I have had 3 out of 5 of my children here, and each experience has been amazing! The environment is so peaceful. The staff are always striving to keep you comfortable and prioritize your preferences. They truly go above and beyond for their patients! Even after moving across town I chose to drive 50 minutes to go to them for my appointments and birth. It was worth it to me because I feel more comfortable with Blossom than anywhere else. Though all of the midwives and staff are top notch, I have a particular place in my heart for Erin Yocom, who was present for two of my births, and who helped me through my miscarriage. She is so kind, encouraging and sensitive. A wonderful, skilled midwife who makes you feel confidant during birth, and who makes you feel nurtured through the struggle of losing a baby. I can't thank her enough for the huge roll she has played in the last couple years of my life! I can't say enough good things about this birth center, I really could go on for hours about the wonderful care and assistance that they have given me and my family! I truly love Blossom birth center, and I plan on going to them for any future pregnancies that I might have. I hope you give them a try, because I know you'll fall in love with them like I did!

Reviews can be challenging. HIPPA regulations require that we not discuss individual care provided. There are times during pregnancy when abnormalities arise or are recognized that require further evaluation and/or transfer of care. This can be very upsetting for clients. We are sorry for any miscommunication. Sending blessings of love and light for your healthy birth.
