Pulmonologist told me 'I can't make a great lung any better!' Turns out I have severe asthma and bronchiectasis. I was left wallowing in painful coughing, shortness of breath, MRSA mucus plugs and damage to my vocal chords from the violent coughing. I called his office for help and the office wouldn't help me because he didn't take me on as a patient-because according to him my lungs were so great. I was absolutely miserable. Weeks before the the doctor's appointment, I was admitted because the CT scan showed I had pneumonia. The next day I was discharged with bronchitis because their CT scan was blurry. What a joke. Don't believe all the hype-they are not that fabulous.
