Seanlyn Prater on Google

image I have nothing but great things to say about Kim! She delivered both of my sons and was my midwife during my prenatal care for my second (she was on call and delivered my first but I tracked her down for the second!). When she walked into the delivery room to deliver my first, I had never met her and couldn’t see her because my glasses were off, her presence changed the atmosphere of the room. I was ready to push and asked her if I could and she just stood back and told me to do what I needed in the most gentle way and helped guide me while I pushed. Every visit with Kim gives time to answer any questions or concerns and is not rushed. Anytime we had a “problem” arise, she always informed me of what was going on and what we needed to do and she always gave me a say in what we were doing. I always felt like she helped guide me to the best and safest option for me and my baby (specifically with preeclampsia testing and induction). After I had my second son we did a follow up visit at 4 weeks postpartum because she “wanted to SEE me” (her words exactly as she made eye contact with me) to make sure that I was adjusting to everything well and emotionally and mentally I was okay. She is very sensitive to the postpartum time for mothers and because she builds a trusting relationship and gets to know you during those prenatal visits and when she sees you she SEES YOU.
I feel as though these details are important to share because what I was looking for in a provider in the past was what I received from a midwife, specifically Kim.
