We're incredibly pleased with the service we received from Orion Mortgage for our home purchase. The home buying process (especially the loan process portion of it) can be daunting, but their entire team was fantastic every step of the way. Carrie Scott, our loan officer, was always available and communicated how each part of the whole process would move forward. She went above and beyond to get to know us personally and understand our specific situation - since we were purchasing a secondary home in another state, everything we did after the initial look at the property was done remotely which made us a little nervous. Carrie understood that and was in constant contact, reassuring us and walking us thru all the requirements of the mortgage process.
We gave her the challenge of being able to close on the property within a 30 day time frame, something that other lenders we had approached told us was impossible. Not for Carrie!! She got the ball rolling immediately after we contacted her and we were able to close 28 days after our initial offer. We especially appreciated her monitoring interest rate flucuations on our behalf - because of her diligence, she was able to lock us into an interest rate lower than we'd anticipated - something that will save us hundreds of dollars over the course of the loan.
Beyond all this, her expertise and professionalism were apparent in everything she did. She was incredibly friendly and kind throughout the entire loan process, got answers to all of our questions (and we had a lot) with in-depth explanations, and ensured we fully understood what we were doing and why it was necessary. She even sent us cookies to congratulate us the day we officially closed.
We're so glad we chose Orion Mortgage and would highly recommend them (and Carrie) to anyone looking for top-notch mortgage loan services!
