BE CAUTIOUS. RESORT STAFF STEAL ITEMS OUT OF ROOMS. The reason for the one star is you will need to be very very careful with stuff in your rooms. We had to move rooms a few times during our stay due to the hotel not having the lockoffs correctly booked. Of course moving rooms several times with kids and on vacation you inevitably leave things behind. We should have learned every time we moved we left something behind by accident. First was a shirt in the closet. Second was a swimsuit drying in the bathroom. Last was a sweatshirt in the closet. Every single time we left something behind it disappeared and they were unable to find it. The front desk says they will contact security. Security says they checked with house keeping. But no one ever and I mean ever turns anything in. We both kicked ourselves at it was the second time we left a piece of clothing hanging in the closet. We called about an hour after checkout and we didnt hear back until the next Evening that they could not find anything. I typically would just chalk it up to my fault for leaving it but three times in 4 days I have to say something. The Marriott is typically above this petty theft And At $600-$1200 per night they have 0 morals or care whatsoever about keeping your belongings safe. They should have more respect for guest at this price point and be held accountable for disappearing things. An item left hanging in the closet doesnt just disappear. Especially something new and expensive. Just to clarify. We stayed here for a week. The resort itself is nice. Games and pool area are great. The line at the pool for food is always super long and they typically only have one person working. She is a rockstar but doing the Job of three people.

The staff at the Marriott are all fabulous.Brandon at front desk was super helpful and friendly. A shoutout to Jean who went out of her way to make our trip enjoyable! The JW Marriott is nearby so we spent some time there & its amazing! We love the canyon villas resort, but it is definitely time for an update on the villas. That is planned for this year I believe. Once again, the staff is wonderful. The housekeepers do a great job and I really like the two brothers who were keeping the fitness center in perfect condition. High five! I would recommend that they get a Starbucks at the Canyon villas!:) Rooms: Rooms are nice! Beds are always great at Marriott. I believe they are planning to update the rooms this year and it is time! Nearby activities: Love the spa at JW Marriott. Golfing is of course, great! Safety: Felt totally safe at resort and even did lots of walking at night time.
