I really hate doing this since I am also a contractor and know how sometimes a reviewer will not give an opportunity to make things right. However, I do need to make people aware of their shady behavior. I scheduled a window replacement on a rental property in Phoenix I owned as a part of selling the property back in January. Adam was the one that answered the phone, agreed to the time frame of install, took my order, and took payment info for the deposit since the glass had to be ordered. When I called to check on the status of the ordered glass since it was the day before the install, there was no answer. I called multiple times after that, sent text messages, and still no answer. So, I called my bank and let them know to put a stop payment/dispute on the deposit. I then sent a message to Adam stating that I put a stop to the payment/dispute, and then miraculously I got a call back. He then proceeded to tell me that he was tied up with work, and that was the reason he was not able to answer. He plead with me, and asked if they could still perform the install since the glass was in their possession (mind you, I had enough time between initially calling/messaging Adam to call my bank, and to call another glass contractor to get a quote and install date, before he called me back) and if it was not installed, it would just sit there. I reluctantly agreed, and the glass was then installed the next day. Here is where it gets bad. I called to make the payment in full with a separate card since the dispute I put into place could prevent them (same merchant trying to charge a card with a dispute with said merchant could decline payment), and received an invoice for my payment, and work performed. About two weeks after all of this, I see a charge on the account that I had the dispute in place for the original deposit amount. I called my bank to see why this was, and I was told that the merchant provided proof that the work was done which allowed the dispute to be resolved in their favor. At this point I called Touchdown Glass to see if this could be resolved, but again multiple calls with no answer. Once I actually got a call back from Adam, he asked for my name/address to where the work was performed, and then proceeded to hang up on me, and would not answer again after that. I have at this point chalked this up as a loss, since I do not expect I will get a response from the business. As a contractor myself that services residential and commercial clients, I feel that this review is necessary to prevent further loss to other people, and from the looks of Touchdown's recent reviews, I am not the only one that has dealt with their money handling issues. If I do receive a negative response, or if integrity is questioned, I will be more than happy to update the review by attaching the invoice I have retained from Touchdown to prove that this review was not mistakenly posted about them.

Touchdown had the best price and availability to take care of a broken glass window during the Thanksgiving holiday week. Dwayne showed up when promised, and did excellent work replacing the glass in the window professionally and quickly. I would recommend the company to anyone!

Called on a Thurs 1/3/2020 the guy who answered the phone said he could have my glass fixed by Friday if I brought it in, I arrived 30min later and he told me, we can have it done on Monday; I said "you told me Friday on the phone", he then replied, " that was best case, how about Saturday? I replied ok thats fine I need a price? he then told me he had my number and would call, we discussed the type to replace the old 70`s colored glass that is no longer made, and that was the last I heard from them until today 1/06/2020 and only because after 6 call Friday and Saturday and 3 text that were answered automated, I decided to call from a different number and the original guy I spoke with answered. After reminding him of our conversation on Thursday, he said he would never had told me Sat as they are not open(web site says 24/7) Then told me it would be at least Thurs before he could do it. I do not recommend nor will I ever call this place again. I was told not to pick up my glass(unfinished) until after 4pm today, as no one was there, when I arrived at 4:10pm glass was leaning against the wall inside office with no one around Not sure where they got their good rating.

I am only able to speak to our experience with glass replacement and emergency board up. We had an window broken at our home on Thanksgiving and had to get an emergency board up and window replacement. The board up was great— quick and on a holiday. 5/5. The window replacement has been awful. We were supposed to get a replacement within a week, and the appointment day came and went with no communication. We followed up multiple times, and got a text back saying he’d be there Monday to install. The measurements on the window were wrong, so he said he could install Wednesday. Wednesday comes, I reach out in the morning and afternoon. No show, no contact, nothing. If you need an emergency board up, these guys are fine. But if you need a reliable window replacement and professional communication, I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere.
