Dentists of Paradise Valley

I received new insurance so rather than go to my regular dentist i thought I would go where my cleaning would be covered by the new insurance. When I arrived I received a full set of X-rays both standing up and sitting down. I went into the exam chair and the hygienist started by creating my periodontal chart which is something i have received annually even though I typically go for cleanings every six months. She was forceful with the tool which cause my wincing and gums to bleed which had not happened before. At the end she said i had signs of periodontal disease and needed a deep cleaning. Here's where they try to get you. I then saw the dentist and expressed my confusion since i have my teeth cleaned so regularly. I was two months past due because i had covid and rescheduled my appt. The dentist showed me one area on xray that she said displayed calcification. Then they sent in the office manager. This was the exact approach of another dentist years ago when they go for the money. The office rep comes in and shows me a bill for a deep clean for $765!!! I knew this was not possible and wanted a second opinion before i moved forward. I also said that to each representative. They kept saying that it wasn't about billing insurance or me and this is how much it was for the deep clean. I declined the deep clean and asked for a regular cleaning which they said no to providing. So i asked to leave. I left and went to the parking lot and called my regular dentist and was able to get in two days later. DPV sent me the X-rays so i could send to my regular dentist which was the best part of the experience. At my regular dentist he and my hygienist said my teeth were in "great shape". The hygienist even commented after receiving the hygienist at DPV periodontal chart "I don't know whose mouth she was in but it wasn't yours". Flat out confirming what i suspected. I received my semi annual cleaning and it was $140 without insurance. Be aware and get a second opinion before you spend the money.

Everyone who works here is fantastic. All so very nice and professional. Going to the dentist isn't something most people look forward too but I don't dread coming here. I highly recommend.

This place is awful!They dont care how much pain you are in.I had infected cracked molar tooth and Dentist Brown prepared crown on infected broken tooth and sent me to special to put crown on broken infected tooth!Who does that!?!? I want even given antibiotics or pain relievers.They take your money right away but to refund you money after their screw up takes few weeks.I do not recommend this place to anyone.I wouldnt bring my dead dog to them !

Very, very disappointed and disillusioned after my last visit to get my teeth cleaned again After the depth check, and inspection, the hustle started. I was told that the closer would be back with to tell me how much it would cost. A cleaning was to be, from the last one, about $140 plus or minus. The price to have my teeth deep cleaned was another $300, plus later, fluoride, and on an on. With my discount fee was $920.00 total. Regular price $2,200. I felt like I was buying a used car. After I got through with the closer I agreed to $420.00 but I had to get my teeth cleaned from once a year for the past 60 years, I had to get them cleaned ever 3-4 months. My wife, after me, got the same hard sell, up selling each of us. I finally said I just want the basic cleaning. Ops! Sorry to late we have to reschedule because we are out of time because the closers spent to much time upselling us. What a sad joke the whole experience was. To add insult to injury the closer said I would have to pay a deposit to reschedule. Well here is what we decided. Number one we are through with you. I called my friends dentist nearby and scheduled with them. I understand you cant make any money with a routine cleaning and need to upsell to gouge you patients for more money. Afterwords I checked Yelp and found out I wasnt the only one you tried to hustle. Shame on you!!!
