Barr Chiropractic and Scoliosis Center

My scoliosis was first noticed at the age of 14, no treatment was prescribed. As the years ensued, I kept it at bay with exercise and the occasional chiropractor. Fast forward several decades and my back was giving me considerable grief. Osteopaths and physical therapy offered only temporary relief, if any. My travels frequently took me along Cactus Road, where I noticed Barr Chiropractic and Scoliosis Center, so I made an appointment. Dr. Barr did not immediately start selling his services, but sent me for x-rays to determine if I was in the right place. The x-rays showed I was headed for serious disk damage within the next few years. I started receiving adjustments immediately while I researched his proposed methods and sought second, third and fourth opinions from an osteopath, orthopedic surgeon, and body worker familiar with my issues. The adjustments gave me immediate temporary and cumulative relief; the above professionals cautioned that my condition cant be cured, but the proposed treatment certainly couldnt hurt and was worth exploring. So I bought into the yearlong brace/ table/ adjustment treatment plan. Six months in, my chronic issues are reduced by at least 70%. The brace takes acclimation, but it was clear from the start that it was gently stretching the muscles on my tight side. The tables positive effect was equally clear. I am now able to help myself again, as things had gotten so bad that I couldnt stretch or exercise without hurting myself further. Dr. Barr is always happy to take whatever time one needs to answer questions and listen to concerns. And he does it all very cheerfully. (He also told me that an osteopathic move that had been successful in the past was one of his favorites too but he wouldnt use it on my spine. Sheesh.) I cant recommend Dr. Barr and his method more highly, whether you have scoliosis or just a regular ol spine.

Ive been a patient with Dr. Barr for years. Every time I go in, it feels like a family. Ive went from having neck and back problems all my life, to be maintained and in good shape by visiting once a week. Thank you Dr. Barr and family

Dr.Barr is awesome! Can tell he has been doing it for years. Definitely a different experience than any other chiropractor I have been too. Since I have been coming I have told everyone I know to come to this place. Also treats scoliosis which is amazing! This place will blow your socks off. So make sure if you go wear a pair of socks you dont mind losing.awesome place go here!
